Bryce Resort's Ski School is recognized throughout the mid-Atlantic region as one of the best places for children and adults to learn how to ski and snowboard. Families have been coming to Bryce Resort for years for great times and great instruction--in fact, we’re now teaching the children of parents who once learned to ski here as children!
Our SkiWee Program introduces children 4½ to 8 years old to the fun and challenges of skiing, and our Mini-Rider Program offers expert instruction to 6- to 8-year-olds in the sport of snowboarding.

Our ski school is under the direction of Horst Locher, a certified member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, and a Certified Ski Coach of the United States Ski Coaches Association. We offer programs and lessons for every level of skiing and snowboarding ability.
Ski/Snowboard Lessons & Rates
- Minimum age is 8 years old for all group lessons.
- Lesson duration for two persons or more is 1¼ hours.

Children's Programs
SKIwee
Our SKIwee Program is designed to teach children 4½ to 8 years old how to ski. Please note that we do not accept younger children because of lack of muscle strength. A SKIwee class may include 2 to 6 children per instructor. Private lessons are available, depending on instructor availability during the day. Please check with Ski School desk on your arrival day at Bryce Resort.
Mini-Rider
Our Mini-Rider Program for snowboard instruction is available on weekends for beginners only. A maximum of 5 children are accepted per session. The program is open to children 6 to 8 years old.
Some children are not physically or emotionally ready to ski or ride, so we will not force any child who shows no interest. Our philosophy is to encourage children to try skiing or riding, let them enjoy themselves, and give them the confidence to want to keep trying.
Our goal is to have children on the snow for approximately 1½ hours in a session. This time may vary depending on weather conditions and child's willingness to participate. All the programs include lift ticket, indoor activities, and hot chocolate and snack breaks.

First-Time Ski/Snowboard Package
This 3-part package is available for first-time skiers and snowboarders. It includes ski or snowboard rental equipment, a 1 1/4 hour group lesson, and a carpet lift/slope use ticket. This first-time Ski & Snowboard Package is restricted to the beginner area. It can be upgraded to a chair lift ticket for $10.00 Weekdays and $17.00 weekends after three hours of skiing/snowboarding. Package may be used through night skiing sessions. Minimum age for this package is 8 years.
Children 4½ to 8 years old may enroll in the SKIwee Program for ski lessons. Also on weekends, the Mini-Rider Program is available for children 6 to 8 years old who would like to learn to snowboard. Please register at the Ski School for equipment rentals and for the programs.

GROUP INFORMATION 2007-2008
A Pre-registered group of 20 or more will receive special rates on lift tickets, rentals, and lessons. Group rates are available Saturday - Friday, excluding holiday periods. A credit card number is required to hold and confirm the reservation. No credit card charges will be made until the day of arrival. Cancellations must be made at least three (3) days prior to the scheduled session. Group leader must make full payment by cash, check or credit card (American Express, Discover, Master Card or VISA) for the group on the day of arrival.

Weekday Group Rates (20 or more persons....1 hour & 50 minutes sessions) are available Tuesday - Friday, 6 pm - 7:50 pm, for $15.00 per person. Children must be 4 1/2 years old and at least 42" tall. Not available weekends & holidays.
